The Plaza del Cristo (Christ Square) is located in the western part of Old Havana. Although it is not considered one of the main plazas of the city, it was considered important enough by the Oficina del Historiador de la Ciudad (City Historian’s) to be restored.

In this plaza you will find bars and restaurants weaved between green areas and old houses, the beautiful Iglesia Santo Cristo del Buen Viaje (Church of the Good Voyage), and the Gabriel de la Concepción Valdés monument, better known as Plácido, a man known for his poetry during the era of romanticism.
