Benito Juarez is a highly regarded political figure in Mexico. The museum is housed in a magnificent 17th century building that once belonged to the Pedroso family, known as one of the oldest families in Cuba. Inside, visitors can enjoy the plastic and popular art exhibitions as well as collections of handmade Mexican crafts. This museum also features a library dedicated to Mexican poet and writer, Alfonso Reyes, and a conference room where the Oficina del Historiador de la Ciudad (City Historian’s Office) hosts events. And outside, visitors can enjoy the museum’s colorful courtyards. This open-space is often used for artistic performances.
