Diving or scuba diving is one of the most popular sports in Cuba. The island has numerous ideal areas to dive with transparent waters, warm seas and above all with a beautiful seabed with spectacular coral reefs and a great variety of aquatic animals.

There are many international specialists who come to Cuba to practice this magnificent sport. Diving is organized by the Cuban Federation of Underwater Activities (FCAS), which controls various types of diving, such as recreational, ecological and even scientific diving. 

In Cuba you will find all imaginable diving modalities, among which are sports diving, night diving, deep diving and cavern diving. Dive into the seabed and contemplate old sunken ships more than 60 meters under the sea, and enjoy unique events such as the nocturnal reproduction of corals with the different modalities.

The best areas of Cuba to practice diving are undoubtedly Isla de la Juventud, Jardines de la Reina, with one of the most spectacular coral reefs in the Caribbean, and María la Gorda, a resort with more than 50 diving spots. and easy access. Also noteworthy are the Bay of Pigs, an ideal place for sports, and Playa Santa Lucía on the north coast.
