The Centro de Arte La Casona (La Casona Art Center) is located in the Plaza Vieja (Old Town Square). The art center is inside the colonial structure that once belonged to the Counts of Jaruco, the group of important historical figures that founded the city of Jaruco in Cuba.
Today visitors can walk through the home that once belonged to the counts and admire some of Cuba’s most innovative plastic art. The Centro de Arte La Casona is also headquarters for the Génesis Galerías de Arte (Genesis Art Galleries), a Cuban national company that promotes the arts, represents artists, and market galleries.
