The Museo de la Revolución (Revolution Museum) is located in the former Palacio Presidencial (Presidential Palace), a beautiful 20th-century building used by several Cuban presidents. In addition, its interior was decorated by the prestigious American company Tiffany's. Thanks not only to its beauty but also to the social importance it has, the museum was declared a National Monument in 2010.

This museum is located in Centro Habana and is a must-visit when you pass through Havana. Here you will find a rich collection of objects, photographs, weapons and documents, among others, related to the Revolution and Cuban history. All these elements are shown in chronological order, ranging from the pre-Columbian period to the current socialist system of government. At the entrance of the museum, there is a bust of José Martí, a fragment of the old city wall and a tank used by Fidel Castro in 1961 at the Bay of Pigs.

On the ground floor, there are two exhibitions on the life of Che Guevara and on the assault on Moncada in 1953.

Right behind the building is the Memorial Granma. A tribute to the yacht used to transport Fidel Castro, Che Guevara, and his men from Mexico to Cuba in 1956. It is an annex to the building, so it can be accessed from the museum itself.

The amount and the historical and cultural value of the collections kept here make it the most important museum in the whole country.
