The small but cozy Chapel of San Rafael was completed in 1877 and shortly after it became the site to which thousands of Cuban residents pilgrimage every October 24. During that day there are activities, offerings and events of all kinds that culminate in the final procession from the chapel. Without a doubt, this festival is one of the most deeply rooted traditions of Santiago de Cuba and one more reason to choose it as a destination.
