The Galería Cosme Proenza (Cosme Proenza Gallery) in Gibara is a place aimed at relaxation of one of the most successful artists in the province of Holguín in Cuba: the draughtsman, illustrator and muralist Cosme Proenza Almaguer.
The artist was born in 1948 and already at a young age he was known for very tasteful oil paintings. Since then, the fame of his labour has expanded and nowadays he is one of the most popular and distinguished artists of Cuban art and obtained many awards during his career.
