The peaceful Parque de la Ciudad (City Park) of Ciego de Ávila, in Cuba, is located in the northwest corner of the town. What used to be a useless area invaded by the bushes, was rehabilitated a little more than a decade ago for the enjoyment of the neighbours.

This quiet green area located around the artificial La Turbina lake is ideal for you to take your time to enjoy a long walk among its corners. The area has long marked paths so that you won't get lost in its nooks and crannies and has ample recreational spaces. There are also restaurants where you can stop for lunch and taste the succulent traditional Cuban cuisine or have a refreshing drink.
Two small steam trains were once renovated and exhibited inside the premises to pay tribute to the history of transport in this province, in a clear example of the pride of the town.
Inside the park, you can find an infinite number of infrastructures that have been improved over the years, such as kiosks that offer snacks or sweets, a plaza with a wifi zone so that you can connect to the internet, a maze in which you can test your orientation skills, picnic areas and even fishing.
